HOW IT WORKS
Please give at least one week’s notice before your first day of service. This will allow adequate time to schedule a Meet and Greet with Karen, your pet sitter.
MEET AND GREET
A complimentary first-time meeting will be arranged between Karen and the new client. Please allow up to 60 minutes for this introductory meeting.
During this meeting, Karen will be introduced to the pets, and learn about their daily routine, personalities and habits. A service agreement (listing client & pet information, dates & details of visits, etc) will be signed by both Karen and the client at the Meet and Greet. Karen will also pick up a house key from the client at this time.
A deposit is due by the first day of the scheduled cat visits. Payment may be made
in cash; by personal check; or by credit/debit card online.
WHILE YOU ARE AWAY Karen will take exceptional care of your kitties, according to your directions; and will keep you updated daily with texts and photos of your little ones while you are gone.
WHEN YOU RETURN
Please contact Karen so that she knows that you have arrived home safely. If you happen to be delayed on your return, Karen will continue to care for your kitties until you are back home.
THREE POLICIES at CATS ONLY PET SITTING
Daily visits are a necessity for the health and welfare of your kitty. Kitties can go downhill very quickly, and some diseases (such as urinary tract infection) are fatal if not caught on time. And, understandably, your cats miss you when you’re gone, so they really appreciate the companionship provided by your pet sitter.
You also want the peace of mind knowing that your cat didn’t lock herself in a closet, for example, with no access to food or water. Or that the access to the litter box got closed up. We also want to make sure that your power didn’t go out, or your pipes didn’t burst. And to help prevent burglary, Karen will bring in packages and newspapers so they don’t pile up outside over time.
If your kitty sometimes goes outdoors, please restrict her to the inside during the time you are away. Karen insists on checking each kitty to make sure everyone is doing well. This would be difficult to do if the kitty cannot be seen.
NO JOB SHARING
Because of liability concerns, Karen will not job-share with another pet-sitter/neighbor/friend. Things can get complicated with a job-share, as it’s often unclear who is responsible for which duties while the owner is away.
